Our Story

This contest is a chance for your child to showcase their "tiny" art inside a custom-made tiny gallery (sort of like a dollhouse) right on Main street at the largest Christmas Market in Utah, the Christkindlmarkt at This is the Place State Park, Dec 3-6th, 2025. Imagine your child walking around and experiencing the magic of this market, and then running up to the gallery, peeking inside, and seeing their own art displayed? This is a one-of-a-kind contest!

1. Create a tiny piece of original art. The theme this year is: "Christmas Light" 2. Submit a photograph of your art on Instagram in your stories, tagging us at @shoplaeta. Don't forget to DM us if you have a private account! 3. Pay the $5 entry fee to Kait at @the-giffskis That's it! Submission deadline: Wednesday, November 26th, 2025.

This contest is open to ages 2-14.

Any art is accepted- made with any medium (paints, chalk, marker, pencil, a statue out of modgepodge, a hanging art installation out of origami, etc- the sky is the limit!). All art must be no larger than 5" x 5", with a minimum size of 1” x 1”. Amazon has some great links to tiny canvases. Tiny frames around the art are a great option, too (not required), so have some fun with it! If you have any questions about specific items, feel free to e-mail us at hello@laetakids.com

Each child's entry fee is $5. If a child would like to submit multiple pieces of art, the additional fee per piece is $3! This helps us cover the cost of the market as well as give out cash prizes to some of the winners!

Yes! Each additional piece of art does have an entrance fee, but it is a discounted rate of $3.

-Please Venmo $5 per child to Kait at @the-giffskis -$3 for each additional art piece -In the memo, specify the top 2 days you would prefer the art to be displayed, if chosen (ie Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, or Saturday)

You will be notified by Black Friday at the latest, if your art is chosen. We will then arrange pickup of the art so that the originals can be displayed at the market!

The Tiny Gallery will be featured right outside our wooden booth on Main Street (map to follow soon). Each day, a different set of art will be featured to give more children a chance to shine. December 3rd-6th 11 AM- 8 PM This is the Place Heritage Park
